The Best memories ever for 2013

In 2013 I got to spend a magnificent time with my amazing classmates and my very fun and unique teacher Miss Tito. I was very lucky to have Miss Tito as my Teacher. She is very cool. Sometimes When we some kids from our class have been good they get to go on the stars list. So at the end of the week we get to do something fun. Mostly we get to make a maori instruments like Koauau. It is so fun.

Because the year eights arę leaving to go to college at the end of the year. I would like to say that I will miss you year eights especially Andrea and Te Rina because I have became close friends with them. They arę really cool and really funny to hang out with.

I will really miss Miss Tito next year because she told us that we were not going to be in her class next year. I was really sad because Miss Tito is the best teacher I Have ever had so bye Miss Tito. She will still be there with us next year woo hoo.

What I am looking forward to next year is being the house captain for Te Arawa. Because I can be a better leader and represent my family and myself. I can also learn how to be more confident in being a role model and also being a leader. I will be looking forward to being a year eight next year a t Pt England School.

In 2014 I will be leaving Pt England School. I have learnt a lot of things from all of my teachers for the past years. But mostly I have learnt from Mr Burt My Amazing Principal. I will miss this wonderful place when I leave to go to college.

Anameis Reflection about our incredebly cool netbooks

The first time I used a netbook was when I was a year 5. I was so excited. We can learn from all of these apps and we actually can have fun when we learn.

Having a netbook connected to the internet has helped me alot because there are alot of learning sites like Math Whizz ,Study ladder ,Xtra Math and more that can help you learn. We can have alot of fun while we are learning. Having the Internet has been really helpful because for the past few years I have searched up recipes and it's just cool to search something and the answer right in front of you.

During this year my teacher Miss Tito has helped me along the way to be a better leader. Because last year i was bossy but this year I have learned how to be better leader. In room 15 one of my friends Gloria taught me how to put a presentation onto my Blog. That was very helpful.

My Mum and Dad have shown me how to use a different and easier strategy for maths. During 2013 I have grown in managin myself. Definitely Next year i will be working on the following:

  • Writing
  • Maths
  • Our Topic
  • Reading
  • Being a better Role Model
  • Controling myself in better ways

Action world

Can you guess where the year sevens got up to on Friday?
We went to Action World out in Henderson! It was the year sevens big day out.
8:20 am we finally departed from pt england school. It took 15 or 20 minutes to get to our destination. It felt like hours. On our way to Action world we were all singing song and playing sweet and sour.

When we finally arrived at action world we all got split up into groups and headed of with our teachers to our first event.  Our group went to the rock climbing wall first. I volunteered to go first. I tried to reach the top but my hands were aching in pain. So I deliberately fell of and landed safely on the soft air bag on my back. Once everybody had a turn we moved over to the jungle swings it was so fun.

Henry went first but he has too scared he has acting like a baby. So instead I went I volunteered to go. I used my super stretchy monkey arms to reach the next bar. We were supposed to jump over something but the time ran out to we just landed safely on our back. Everybody had a turn before the whistle was blown for us to switch over.

We then moved over to the crazy ladder. It was crazy all right. It was moving all over the place most of us did not even make it to the top. Once we were finished on the crazy ladd we moved over to the jump and slide. It was awesome. I chose to jump first and then have fun on the slide. When I went on the slide it was like a building was falling over. I went on the slide like 10 times and the jump 7 or 8 times.

After that we had lunch and then we had free time. It was awesome that put up the fighting bridge. Me and Yixin had a cool as fight. I took it easy on her. I deliberately jumped off the bridge.
We then had time to jump on the Large Trap eez it was so fun.

Then it has time to say goodbye to action world and their staff. It was  sad that we had to leave but at least we had a good time. Thankyou action world.

Nelson Mandela A Hero

Nelson Rolihlahla Mandela ( A.K.A  Nelson Mandela) born 18 july 1918. He was born in Mvezo, Transkei, South Africa. For 20 years, he directed a campaign of peaceful, nonviolent defiance against the South African government and its racist policies. Mandela's father died (of tuberculosis) when the boy was nine years old.

1938 Mandela is admitted to the University of Fort Hare, a black institution. Two years later he got expelled for being in a protest. While attending Fort Hare University (studying for a Bachelor of Arts degree) Nelson Mandella met two men who were to become close friends and influences in his life. One was Oliver Tambo and the other was Kaiser 'K.D' Matanzima. Matanzima was in line for the Transkei throne. He did not make his Bachelor of arts Degree.

He went to three different prison's. They are Robben island , then in pollsmoor prison then in victor vester prison. Nelson Mandela fought threw all odds to serve africa. Mandela politician who served as President of South Africa from 1994 to 1999. Nelson Mandela was struggling with apartheid. Mandela spent 18 years on Robben Island. He had to do hard labour. He was allowed one visitor every 6 months. He then has moved to a different prison. Mandela became the most famous prisoner in the world. He did not give up. Even the prison guards admired him

At last the 1988 the south african government began to make some changes. The goverment let Black or coloured people into White people universities. In 1990, South Africa's new President FW de Klerk set Nelson Mandela free. Mandela and de Klerk agreed: no more fighting.
In 1991 Mandela became the leader of the ANC. For the first time Black people were allowed to vote for the very first time. ANC won the elections.
Then a new goverment took over. In 1994 Nelson Mandela became the very first Black President of South Africa.
Nelson Mandela died on 5 December 2013 following a lung illness.Mandela is in Peace now where he can be proud.  I learnt that Nelson Mandela had   a dream and he never gave up on that dream so never ever give up.   R.I.P  Nelson Mandela
